
The 12-Bar Blues is an essential form to learn. Count 4 beats for each bar - when you have the chords really well in place, try replacing them with the riff patterns at the bottom of the diagram, written in Tab. Finally, you can play solos with the blues scale I've written out. You could record the other guitar part or ask someone to play it for you. Minor 12-bar Blues is the second example, also great to solo over.
